Re: How Tight
Insted : I can't handle that much positivity, but still Slightly Tight. Hunter's Insted tests may in fact be tighter than the band itself. Battery : Pretty Tight overall but the clean vocals are awful. The D.C. STRAIGHT EDGE jacket in the video is unquestionably Tight though. Damnation A.D. : Super...

Markus Naslund?
Did they just move here from Pittsburgh? If so, will they become wildly popular for a few years, and then largely reviled only to have that revulsion conveniently forgotten when they break up?

Re: record store day
The only things I saw on the list this year that interested me were the new CIRCLE LP and a Dillard & Clark 7". And the Cause for Alarm 7" reissue I guess. It's not worth rubbing shoulders with a bunch of creepoid basement dwelling mouthbreathers to get them, presuming that any stores ...

Re: Seattles Helms alee with Thrones! need a show in april
To answer the question a bunch of posts back, I know that Johnny is trying to do an all-ages show for Vancouver. Whether or not it turns out that way in the end is anybody's guess.

Re: Bands you couldn't care less about
The Black Keys are the the most bored sounding band in the world. Those dudes would rather be ANYWHERE than standing in the live room / on a stage with instruments in their hands.
I can't believe Beethoven got dragged into this thread.

Re: What covers does your band play?
xBONGx is mysterious so I will answer... Tempest did the SWARM cover at their first couple shows. I only saw them do the Unbroken cover once, in Tacoma. Maybe it was played other times, I dunno.

Hahahah well played, Hunter! Bitey looks like he's straining to escape and kill Blake, who looks like his usual retarded self.

Re: Fucked Up(Vancouver)
That picture is sweet! Listen, I'm not trying to "make a stand" or "prove myself" by moralizing in front of everybody. I don't begrudge the shop or the club or the band for doing this, nor do I think that people who go are "selling out" or "giving in" or whate...

Re: Fucked Up(Vancouver)
My issue isn't about the band getting paid or anything else about them. I'll keep buying their records whether they do this shit or not.
Shows being used primarily as a marketing vehicle are just not something that I care to participate in, regardless of the parties involved. That's all.

Re: Fucked Up(Vancouver)
Im gonna get up on my high horse and say that I'd rather pay cash money for this show than be part of a marketing stunt to get in free.
Band still rules though.

This settles it. I'm gonna start a band that covers Profanatica songs as Youth Crew songs. We'll masturbate on YOT records instead of bibles.

Lots of people on CBC Radio today claiming shock / disgust about all this. Have these people never been to Surrey Central skytrain station?
