vvithdravval update: back from tour, new 7", fuck life
western friends, enemies, etc... a bunch of this shit is garbage i copied and pasted, but i added a bit of nonsense here and there specifically geared towards you folks considering i consider alot of you friends and not just faceless buffoons on the internet i need to try and trick into listening to my band instead of the gaslight anthem or something.
that's it, back to winnipeg:
we're back from our short tour west with shai hulud, lionheart, hundreth and counterparts. a great time was had by all. except for you guys i guess cuz we didn't come that far out west. we played a garage in calgary. holy moly, did you guys miss out big time on that one. you know that video of shai hulud from vancouver where it's 1997 and in someone's basement and chad gilbert is like 19? it was like that, only it was about 12 hours east, 13 years later and their new singer is 19 too and i was there moshing in my winter jacket. anyways, it was our last tour of the year, we've had enough. no more. at least for now.
here's a video of our set in calgary. kudos to our friend cody for stepping up to bless the microphone for guest vocals.

new 7":
we have some time set aside in a few weeks to record a new, as of yet untitled, though probably titled "flesh & blood", 4 song 7" ep. "shapeshifter", "blood laws", "kingdom come" and "book of death". this followup to "unknown misery" will be recorded by craig boychuck, who has done time engineering recordings by fuck the facts, malefaction, and ken mode amongst others. many of the tracks will be live, and the studio we're recording it in has hosted such heavyweights of metallic hardcore as "death cab for cutie" and "the guess who". the songs themselves are the first songs written by our new lineup and they are faster, slower, heavier, quieter than our back catalogue of "psalms". to borrow a line from ian mculloch, it will be the greatest hardcore record ever made.
new shirts:
been a while since we updated our online store, but we have some left over shirts from tour up now. select sizes in some of them. check them out. help us afford to pay off the crippling mountain of debt we've crawled under.

or you can grab some exclusive designs from our friends at hellfish.

until next time... listen to crucified, sixes, palehorse, caulfield, and parasitic skies. you won't regret it.

that audio is a little someting i've worked up on the side from the band. i'm a big fan of tape looping, samples, electronic manipulation. i use a roland d-5 synth, ableton live, a technics 1200 turntable with a stanton mixer to lift samples off vinyl. the monologue is something i wrote, processed through text to speech software which is a trick i definitely lifted from our friend "give up".
