Guitar/Bass Lessons

Post by reece »

Does anyone recommend a good teacher for Guitar/Bass lessons.

I mainly wanna start working on theory and all that jazz, also some funny metal shit (solos, pinch harmonics, tapping, slapping...ect, ect...)

I took lessons in University and while it did give me some help, I don't think taking jazz guitar or bass lessons helps unless you want to play jazz (or country lessons unless you want to play country, etc). If you can find a teacher versed in metal you'd probably get more from their lessons because they'd be able to give you general theory and applicable technique.

Also don't discount instruction videos if you want to learn specific techniques. You can find plenty online for free and they can help a lot with getting the knack of specific techniques.
