it's on the #6 route and not far from town. we should do a show there.
I saw that the hall is available for $25/hour. Is it possible to host musical events?
I organize all ages shows for young bands and it's been difficult reassuring the community that young people are valued members of the community and sometimes need to enjoy social events like concerts in order to maintain that social and community connection.
I'm interested in renting your hall out as a show space and throwing a small show with maybe roughly 50 people in attendance. I would like to work with you to ensure this goes smoothly and perhaps begin to host more shows on a monthly basis if this goes well.
I do not profit from these and usually charge enough at the door to recover the venue rental costs and pay for the bands' transportation costs. I have lost my own money at events like these.
I would have security volunteers and maintain a safe and respectful environment. I am a responsible 23 year old adult. I am also a member of CFUV community radio.
Let me know if you think this may be possible. I look forward to hearing from you!
I have some questions:
1) When is the hall available (what days of the week, what times of day?)
2) Is there any concern of neighbours complaining if a band were to play within the hall?
3) Are there on-site cleaning supplies (a broom, mop, etc)?
I really hope this can work and that we can build a positive relationship, as it is very difficult to put on these events in an affordable manner at other locations, but all ages shows are an important aspect of the community arts and are currently struggling in Victoria. The music speaks to young people and invites them to explore the world around them.

I should have lied that Watcher are a Christian band since it's a church and we have a song called Why God Created Fathers.
