Re: The Office
eh, it's okay. I've been watching it but haven't -really- enjoyed it since seasons 2/3ish.

Re: The Office
this show is awful. I tried watching some of the new ones. Not into this show anymore at all. Watch Parks and Rec. it's like how good the Office used to be(except better.)

Re: The Office
No. i never got why people thought this either. I mean the UK Office is somewhat funny. But US Office in its heyday was a brilliant blend of everything that makes TV great.trappedinside wrote:UK Office > US Office

Re: The Office
the US office has its moments but is generally pretty standard as far as american comedy television, the UK office is the most painfully awkward shit i have ever watched and is a way better satire on the subject of working at an office. in my opinion.
Re: The Office
I still think UK office was worse. and I appreciate the merits of british humour. the delivery and execution of humour in the US office was brilliant around the season 2 mark.
it's just started to turn into way more of a soap opera. too much character drama that seems so forced, introducing and subsequently erasing characters, etc. how many people have been manager since michael left? what happened to that traveling sales guy? etc. just seems like they're writing on an episode-by-episode basis with no depth. most of the secondary characters have become caricatures of their former selves. phyllis is just a catty old person. creed doesn't even get as many awesome moments. even pam is just a shadow of her former self. and as for jim, they tried to force too much depth into his character, now he's just a mess instead of the simple in-a-job-too-long rambunctious worker that he was.

Re: The Office
Creed doesn't get enough moments? He was manager in one episode and it was amazing!

Re: The Office
Agreed. It's easy for Office USA to one up the UK version by just copping it's ideas and extrapolating on them. The USA Office did have more funny moments overall (and had a shitload more episodes and seasons to do it in), but the UK Office isn't just about the comedy, it's a smart, well written show with more going on than the USA Office had or has.trappedinside wrote:UK Office > US Office

Re: The Office
They should have kept Creed as manager.
