I heard a rumour that weekend nachos cancelled the tour, so I sent stillbirth a message asking if it was true and if I should still bother to find a venue. That was several months ago and I haven't heard a word back from them.
I grew wings and a beak just to stay on my feet.

Anyone else coming to Besnard Lakes on Tuesday? Pretty stoked.

Yeah, WN never got back to me when I asked. Have you heard the new song, though? Like it a lot better than Unforgivable and, hell, probably a lot of Punish & Destroy. Love it when they get down with that sludge boogie.

May 27th at sunset room:

Lab Rat (Calgary fast-as-fuck vegan thrash)
http://www.myspace.com/labrathardcore

xRape Revengex (Calgary feminist like-violence)
http://www.myspace.com/raperevengeband

Six Brew Bantha (local grindnoise obliteration crew)
http://www.myspace.com/sixbrewbantha

Probably gonna be $7, poster coming soon, Iskra is going to play too they just don't know it yet, heheh. Not my first choice for a venue but we had no backup plan for an outdoor show and at least these insane bands are gonna get to play here. Will be one not to miss if you're into the fast stuff.

Vancouver Island Hardcore Punk Society presents:
Image

JUNE 24th - a night of soul crushing auditory hallucinations

ANION from Vancouver - http://myspace.com/anionbc
doom! slow-heavy jams from the mainland. ex-mudlark.

GALGAMEX from Vancouver - http://myspace.com/galgamex
on tour with Anion, killer deathmetal!

with locals:
NOMAD - powerful and epic stoner. heavier than fuck. members of doorway, acting ensign, and a bunch of other well-loved locals.
NO EULOGY - d-beat hardcore and sludge.
RAW WAR - killer raw hardcore punk. for fans of Driller Killer.

This is at the Sunset Room, 401 Herald St. right behind Value Village. First band is on at 7pm, so get your party started and make sure you're in the door to support all the bands. $8 to go to the touring bands, they have a long fucking way to go after the island.

AUG 22nd - V-Lounge

Mares of Thrace
http://www.myspace.com/maresofthrace

Anion
http://www.myspace.com/anionbc

Northern
http://www.myspace.com/towardstheshore

I'm shooting to make this a 6 dollar show. 2 out of town bands on a sunday. Will try to get a good drink special as well for the night. If I can get a decent draw for this show, the ladies in Mares will tell the numerous good other bands from calgary that vic is a good place to make a stop on tour, even on a sunday. Come check out some kick ass talent(except northern, those guys suck) and support touring bands!
