No luck finding Animal Kingdom. Dave-mac did you rent it or download it?

I watched Dead Man (seriously excellent + Neil Young did soundtrack) and Gummo recently. Also, I'm now on season 7 of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I saw Animal Kingdom @ The Granville 7 theatre in vancouver. I think it is a very limited release.

I just searched Vuse for it, indeed it is hard to find, only trailers came up for it.

Ah, I didn't realize it was still in theaters. I'll keep an eye out for it online too. Thanks.

Pretty bold statement. I've been holding out until I saw The Ghost Writer to comment. It was definitely a good political thriller, it is a stretch to call it a masterpiece, and an unfathomable reach to call it Polanski's masterpiece. I mean, the man made Chinatown and Rosemary's Baby. And as far as his more recent output, The Pianist is a much better film.

Ghost Writer was very good thriller; well developed suspense; very Psycho-esque score; and some really beautiful shots. I enjoyed it, Polanski is a master, and a lot of other directors' work pales in comparison. Still, the masterpiece statement is bold.

about to watch Boardwalk Empire (HBO's new guy).
Better Off Ted Season 1
Diary of a Wimpy Kid (classic kids coming of age story. I felt like I was 12 again. Not actually a 'good' movie, but so good for hangover.)

Meh there was alot of self reflexive humor. Also they treadedmany paths they already have. But some really funny gags in the episode. Marhshall's dad thing was pretty boring and really did nothing for me and was a lame attempt to further the Lilly is not ready plot etc. . I am going to re-watch the episode tomorrow afternoon. I'll post more thoughts then. Yeah last season was a stinker. Especially the finale totally bogus. Hope this season turns out well as it stands now they've had 3 great seasons 1 good season and 1 bad season

Seriously, did anyone else watch Boardwalk Empire (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0979432/)? So good. It feels like a cross between The Wire and Deadwood. HBO FTW.

Kyle I've been excited about Boardwalk Empire for a while, considering it features Michael K Williams. I didn't watch the premiere but I'll have to download it. Have you seen any of Treme? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1279972/ David Simon's (The Wire creator) new child, and featuring a lot of talent from The Wire including the dude how played Freamon, and I think Bunk as well.

I haven't watched Treme, but I did hear about it. Any good? Watch Boardwalk Empire! Michael K Williams was in it briefly that episode and Al capone is Stephen Alexis - the actor who played Combo from This Is England that I love. Plus, c'mon, Buscemi. It's really good.
