What movies scared the crap out of you when you were a kid?

I can't remember specific titles but basically anything where innocent people with strong personalities who really wanted to accomplish something and put all their effort into it only to be really unfairly thwarted by some evil presence... that shit bugged me a LOT

Harshdad. Candyman is insane when you think about everything that cumulatively happens in that movie. I feel the same way about Pet Semetary.
For me, it had to be E.T. That was the WORST. We probably rented that about 6 or 7 times and I'd watch the ships coming down in the forest and run out of the living room.

If you guys like scary movies that make you feel uncomfortable afterwards, I highly highly recommend Paranormal Activity, particularly if you are into The Exorcist, demons, the occult, etc.
One of the most well-paced, tense, brilliantly simple thrillers in the past decade. Funny Games is also high up there for me. If I saw either of those when I was 7 or 8.. Jesus.

yeah funny games was quite high up there myself and tyler watched it recently. What really does it for that is there isn't much that is unreal about what happens.
