saw this last night:

Great poster...

I know Ryan Reynolds being the star of this movie would turn some off, don't let it. Buried was excellent. It is not only the poster that channels hitchcock, this movie was next level suspenseful. It taking place pretty much exclusively inside a coffin was really interesting, there are some really innovative shots. Plus, Ryan Reynolds is actually really good in it, despite lingering in romcom and bad action movie hell, this guy might actually be a decent actor.

I remember seeing the preview for that and thinking it was going to be horrible, but then I never heard anything about it after that. I will have to watch it, thanks for the suggestion!

I watched Chinatown last night. Jack Nicholson is definitely one of my favourite actors. This is only my second Polanski film, but I find his movies to be incredible; I'm fascinated not only with the complexity of his plots, but also his underlying themes and tone. The whole idea of Chinatown, with the dark aspect of 'anything goes', was brilliant. Also, Polanski starring as the knife wielder was amazing.

edit: It should be mentioned that throughout the entirety of the film, I had Thin Lizzy's Chinatown stuck in my head and still do.

I'm on episode 9 of Breaking Bad - Hank just got lit up by those brothers and susequently left quite a bloodbath in his wake - im not a fan of the guy by any stretch of the imagination, but i hope he pulls through!!

the last few episodes have been off the god-damn hook and i imagine its only gonna get wilder!

yeah man, same with the episode before when Hank had him and jesse trapped in the van - i was legitimitely stressed the fuck out.

and yeah, then this episode with the bananas parking lot battle had Catt almlost to the poiint where she had to leave the room she was so stressed, haha.

its funny how television can really immerse you and make you forget you are watching...television haha

making my way through the first two seasons of Parks and Recs before the third season starts. Amy Poehler or however her name is spelled is pretty annoying I must say.
