Funny story about vanilla coke, I used to live with Danno from Nanimo and he always had a mini fridge filled with ice cold pepsi and I love vanilla coke. It was the only soda I would ever buy, but sometimes when you just didnt want that fantastic after dinner flavour of vanilla coke Id ask Danno for a trade and he would happily ablige. Now fast forward a few months hes about to move out hes clearing out his mini fridge and he hands me back every can I ever traded him ice cold and delicious.

there is just something different about the taste coming from a can / glass bottle than if you drank it from a plastic bottle.

Cans and glass bottles keep things colder longer, hence why you don't find beer in plastic bottles.

I have had coke in Japan but didnt notice a difference.

Yeah, I tend not to have brand loyalties, but I'm pretty big on pop. One of these days I'll break that addiction.

I didn't really notice a difference with Japanese coke either. Except for the caps. The caps there, when you open them, biggest explosion of carbonation ever!
