Hey

Name's Peter. But everyone refers to me as "PJ" or "Peejay", "Peej", or "Big Guy" (think mini Puffin if that makes sense). Shit you not: it even says it on my old HS ID card (PJ not any of the others. God forbid having Big Guy on there). I'm from Maple Ditch and in the process of moving to Victoria. Discovered punk thanks to my old babysitter cranking The Offspring's "Smash" album while driving like a maniac. Would "Nevermind" by Nirvana count as well?

I have a very eclectic taste in music and not really stuck in the confines of a single genre. My favorite bands are Pearl Jam, Pixies, The Clash, Jawbreaker, and The Smiths. Look at the post entitled "Education for the New Guy" for further insight in to my Punk side.

I play guitar and want to start a band when I move to the Island. I also write ALOT and am frequently reminded at how good I aparently am. And my hero is Bill Hicks.

The impression I got from other people was that NinjaSpy were, like, these legendary geniuses. There certinatly seen as that in Ridge. And thank you Jordan. Its nice finding a large group of people who love them as much as I do.

Ska's a big thing around here. Theres not a lot of variety in Ridge. Here are the only options you have if you want to start a band in this town:

- Generic hard rock ala Theory of a Creedilback
- Cheap Tim Armstrong disciples
- Indie singer/songwriter (Dashboard Confessional, City and Color, Tegan and Sara type shit)
- Metalcore
- Screamo
- Shitty skid Thrash

Op Ivy, Rancid and Transplants all have some jammers... but rarely to other bands do it properly.

I love Operation Ivy and I don't mind Rancid. Its just that 80% of the punk bands around here sound like either of those bands. It gets annoying after a while.
