Great album! My best friend put out their two singles, so I don't wanna discourage anyone from buying those...but the LP is waaaaaaay better. The 7 inchers suffered from kinda flat, slicker production...while the Lp was recorded in T.O. with Jonah Falco, and sounds perfect. One of my top 3 fave Lp's of the year...

One of my top picks for the year as well. I'll have to devise a real list later. They were so fucking heavy in Seattle, glad I went down to see them.
I saw them at Rites of Darkness. It was magical.

cool to see somebody posting up WADGE. zach and i used to frequently shop at a store owned by the guy behind all the music. i asked him to play a show once and he said no. good dude though, he'd come out to the occasional metal show. also lol at cold cave. i'm not sure how anybody could be into that, but apparently they're hugely popularso maybe i'm the wrong one.

i dont know if i can come up with a top ten list for this year, but here's a few choice releases from the past year that i dug on:

omegas - blasts of lunacy (easily one of the best canadian bands going right now. i have a love/like thing when seeing them live, probably because the singer once nearly decapitated me with a thrown shoe. check this out, you will not be disappointed)

action bronson/static selecktah - well done (although many would probably side with dr.lecter, i think this was bronson's best release this year. what can i say? i love fat rappers that rap about fine foods and great weed)

fucked up - david's town (i'll admit, even though i own it, i still haven't got through david comes to life. i did really like this fake comp alot better, especially the song where they clearly rip off sloan)

gucci mane/waka flocka - ferrari boys (had to have something gucci related on this.)

no problem - and now this (i see they've already been listed here, but fuck man, what a great album. i still haven't seen them but am hopeful this will change soon)

hoax - s/t (damn, this one really caught me off guard. raging pissed off hardcore. it rules, i'm bummed i didn't see them when i had the chance!)

war hungry - s/t (it's really hard to describe the direction they took with this one. i think they're still a hardcore band but this has wild influences all over the place. loving it)

brutal supremacy/hatred surge/iron lung/mind eraser/scapegoat 4x7"- (four of the best bands going. it was a no brainer that it'd make the list.)

bone sickness - s/t (rad oldschool 'merican death metal.)

juicy j/lex luger - rubba band business 2 (overall might have listened to this the most)

I dunno if I really listened to anything else. I mean, I did, but not enough. I liked that Dog Day release but I didn't listen to it enough. I've been listening to lots of things that weren't really new.

I couldn't get into Celestial Linage. I like just about every thing else they've put out, but CL just wasn't turnin' my crank. Maybe I should give it another shot, but my initial reaction to it was "meh, sounds like they're running out of ideas."
