I've run into Tambo a couple of times this week pawing through pawn shops, but from what he says no luck yet. It sucks.

Is Victoria bad for this kind of stuff? Vancouver has the reputation, but I've heard of far more incidents of theft in Vic than in Van.

I was broken into twice last year. I know Willa dealt with this kind of thing too. Some other people as well. Fucking sucks! It's that Fernwood area that we all used to live in/around. Has a really high crime rate due to it's proximity to downtown.

Also, all low income housing in the QV (Quadra Village). I love the QV to death, but it's sometimes somewhat sketchy, SWAT team on your block, etc.

No leads yet. I left info with all the pawn shops, if anything comes up I'll be sure to let everyone know. Anybody able to give me a list of the guitar shops in close proximity to downtown Vic?

If you havn't, I really recommend you report them stolen to the police. Don't expect pawn shops to help you out if they see the guitars.

There's one, maybe two guitar places on Fort street a block about where Pink Sugar is (away from the water), and one just off Fort St. too, on the same street just above PS. Plus L+M... you guys have any more?

Are you guys wanting to replace them with the same model bass + guitar, or get something different?

Talk to the dudes at Larson Music, generally pretty sweet guys who will always help a musician out (ask Zach about the wicked deals they've given him). Same with Gordie Music in the Stadacona Centre. Gordie's been in the business for I don't know how long and is always great to the dudes who need to buy gear from him.

A police report has already been filed. I would love to replace it with the same model but I doubt that will happen, cause i am poor and I haven't even fished paying for the first one.

Yeah, I can't even worry about replacing it for awhile, I'm going to just have to try and borrow basses for now (lawlz at my borrowing gear thread) And yeah, first thing I did was file a police report and I'll keep checking the pawn shops since I know they don't always report shit.

John at long and Mcquade said he emailed the stores on the mainland the info on them and too look for them. Plus he said you can borrow his Stingray for shows if you need too.

Hey Tambo, I'm selling my Epiphone Embassy Standard V bass if you're interested. $200, it's in great shape, practically new, comes with strap and hard case.
