Re: food thread
Yeah, I think I would substitute the hot dog for a Tofurkey beer sausage. Daiya for the cheese curds, of course. Maia gave me a wicked recipe for home made tofu bacon the other day, so I'd probably use that. I figured out how to make vegan french toast ages ago, and gravy is the easiest thing on God's green earth.
You should come over and we'll make vegan version for me, non-vegan version for you and Zach. I think copious amounts of weed will be necessary, too.
This just hit me right now, but maybe yam fries instead of regular fries? Put a west coast spin on it?

You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

Re: food thread
bringing this thread back to life to say I bought frozen onion rings from thriftys, it was a gamble but they are pretty delicious. Would recommend.

Re: food thread
yesterday I ate two veggie burgers, from two different restaurants.
first was from re-bar, always goddamn quality!! i actually love the fact that they put on either a very spicy mustard or wasabi...i can't remember.
second was from jasmine family restaurant. it's in langford. i think you can make your own conclusions based off that info

Re: food thread
Hello internet, today I made an egg for breakfast... Except that I sometimes feel that I really should just go vegan because I can't cook eggs anyway. But then I think of Häagen-Daz ice cream and I just can't. Anyway, I ate my fucky egg, and my toast with chocolate sprinkles as I drank my orange juice.
And then I got hungry later and ate some spinach rolls (Cooked and spiced spinach rolled up in pastry dough) And I drank some chocolate milk out of a glass bottle.
The moral of today's food story is that anyone who can, go to Pepper's grocery and buy a bottle of chocolate milk in a glass bottle. Not only is it THE BEST TASTING CHOCOLATE MILK EVER, you can also take your used bottle back to the store when it's empty and they will take it back to refill it AND give you a dolla. So that's awesome. My bottle is from 2008. It fills my heart with joy.

Re: food thread
for dinner I had three frozen fish sticks that were microwaved, shoved in a pita, and covered in italian salad dressing. I washed it down with some jack daniels and pepsi that was sitting in our fridge from some random who left it, I guess. I have a really bad stomach ache now. WHOOPS.

Attention vegans/New West peeps:
The deli at Karmavore has opened. Aside from a handful of meals and deserts they also have vegan soft serve ice cream. And all hot food dishes from the deli are 50% off after 6:00 on weekdays. If you live in New West and are vegan this is a score.

No, I must have read that as Pauly and not Troy. I've never seen Troy eat a steak in my life. Shows how much I pay attention to what I'm reading.Andrew wrote:Are you outing Troy as a steak man?ebony wrote:If vegan meant eating steak, then yes.Andrew wrote:Veganism didn't take?dalamar501 wrote:and cheese.
