well they give you a few options. my particular case is a touch complicated.
since i had no money of my own, nor do i have a credit card, i could not register.
but i have the skills, so my friend decided to "stake" me, meaning he put the money up and i play - we split 50/50.
historicall i have just used the "send me a cheque" cashout option. they send it to the cardholders address within 2 weeks.
you can also use any credit card to deposit - you can also use "online banking institutions" like netteller.
these online banking inst. are generally affixed to one of your personal banking accounts, so when you want to cash out, it gets deposited directly into it.
generally most credit card companies do not authorize cashouts to be put back on the credit card

lets get a VIHC poker game going, KEVIN, Willa, TAMBRO, JOHNNY BOY....

Re: ONLINE POKER
i have a small table(not a poker table) and some nice chips. I like poker.
I only play for money though. Even if it's just 5 bucks or whatever. i find if you don't play for real money, people don't play to win. I'm in!

i only play for money too - small stakes is fine by me, i think we played one other time, and it was a $5 tourney.Crucified wrote:i have a small table(not a poker table) and some nice chips. I like poker.

i have nice chips as well, no actual poker table, but one that suffices.

Re: ONLINE POKER
I would be into this, as long as you were patient with me while I learned and repeatedly asked questions. I'm sure taking all my money would be well worth playing with a newb.

You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

Re: ONLINE POKER
I'm always game. I'm actually itching to start playing again now... Maybe fire up the ol' Visa... NO TAMBO! DON'T!
But I dunno, I dunno if I call with QQ on that second all in. Maybe I'm just wrong, have not run any numbers on it, but I feel like at BEST I'm 50/50 and usually a dog. He totally sacked out though.
(I take it back, I was thinking from a tournament stand point. I likely don't just lay down 20 bucks with QQ in that sitch)

I play bass. I play guitar. I do both poorly. What's up.

Re: ONLINE POKER
well there is plennty of backstory to this as well. normally, if i am not familiar with how a player is playing, id lay that down as im likely beat, or in a race.Tambro wrote:I'm always game. I'm actually itching to start playing again now... Maybe fire up the ol' Visa... NO TAMBO! DON'T!

but this guy, well he had consistently smooth called pre-flop raises of $3-4 and folded in the 20 or 30 hands prior
he had dwindled a stack down from about $180 to his starting stack of just over $100. he was playing terrible, and i was sure i had the best hand.
in that siutuation, i dont think playing QQ against 3 other players on the flop is a good idea, no idea where i wopuld stand, and alot of potential to lose.
my rationale was make a big raise and scoop the $13 dead money - and if someone pushed all in, have to make a judgement call.
if it was any other player than this individual, i probably would have layed it down.

this one, im not too sure about my play - i think again, very risky - but if it wasnt the same player heads up as in the above hand, i likely play it much different and fold to the re-raise.

and this hand takes place directly after AA - when i called, i figured i was a coinflip - i put him on a flush/straight draw and not the made set - i doubt anyone could have gotten away from this hand, possibly to his check-raise, and i sorta saw the beat coming, but yeah, i dunno

Re: ONLINE POKER
Again, I'm not very familiar with cash games, but I'd definitely like to become more familiar.
Hand 1:
Is it common to raise with a hand like KTo? After that, I think it's definitely a read call, and obviously you made the right choice. I definitely like the initial raise, when he reraises though I think I'd get scared and just flat call and see what happens. I likely end up donkin' around and making myself lose this pot though.
Hand 2:
I don't like this call very much, at best you're in a race, more likely you're a dog (at best he's gonna have 2 overs) however, you have $3 invested and it costs you 4x that to call. I dunno, I just don't think I ever call there. Nice quads though
hahaha
Hand 3:
I like slowplaying AA. I probably reraise preflop, because I pretty much always just want to get all my money in preflop with AA otherwise I get so scared of flush/straight draws beating me. I definitely like all the play post flop though, I guess he could've had A3, that's the only hand you're scared of, but I think that's kinda unlikely and after you raise after the flop he probably pushes you. Good call.
Hand 4:
Yeah, I likely play this the same way. Bad beat. Sometimes your opp just flops top set.
What program do you use for tracking your poker? I totally want to start again now...

I play bass. I play guitar. I do both poorly. What's up.

Re: ONLINE POKER
Normally K-10 O i wouldnt raise with, but in the first few hands at a table, i just pick one and play it aggressive to establish my table image, it was good enough for me and someone limped ahead of me so i felt like punishing.
with the AA slow play, i had been playing alot of hands preflop and playing them to the turn and just calling, so i sort of wanted to sucker him in that way, i think if i played it aggressive, theyd know i had something good.
yeah the KK sucked, it was the next hand after AA, and i sort of knew id get fucked. i overplayed it for sure, but i know if i just reraised 10-15 he may smooth call and then just push on turn, so id have to make a tougher decision, if i thought about it for another 40 seconds idve folded i think.
KEVIN - rad, poker stars is the best for tourneys, lots of really cheap ones with decent guaranteed prize pools, im not a good tourney player though, no patience.
