i'm Dom, been in vic for a while now, found out about this site recently. looks pretty cool i must say
used to put on shows upisland a bit - parksvegas area mainly cause we were the only band that would try to do such a thing
i play in a drunken punkrock band. we like to call ourselves the drunken idiots.

Hey, I'm Eric. Moved To Naniamo from Regina Sask.
Im looking to stay informed on the hardcore and punk rock shows happening on the island.
Im into every thing from Dropkickmurphys, rancid, - bitter end, dangers, integrity - fugazi, hot water music, - kill your idols, decedents, - fucked up, face to face, trash talk...

Im just going to school for carpentry, working a little.
Seems to be 0 music scene on the surface of naniamo.. so like we had going in regina i scrolled for a fourm. and here i found a mirror image of the QueenCityPunk Pro-boards forum i grew up with. Haha.

Either way Im new around here, just trying to figure out where and when shows are going on.. any thing happen in naniamo or should i expect travel ?

hey eric, sadly youre not going to see punk scene in nanaimo. i lived there for 23 years until recently and we barely had more than some post-rock and some drunkpunk bands during my days there, and its even more grim and sparce now. fortunately theres house shows in harewood now but theyre mainly more garagerock or surf band orientated. still really fun though and exciting for nanaimo to have a place that does shows now (its called Crace Mountain if you hear the name around)

if you wanna see punk/grind/hardcore youre more than likely going to have to come on down to victoria for it when it happens. stick around though and youll see updates on shows
