Hey I'm in Nanaimo, anyone know where I can get a turntable belt? I have been to 3 stores that all have belt driven turntables for sale and not a one of them has any belts! My $5 JVC turntable from a garage sale doesn't work so well without one!

I'll try there. Buying a new turntable is not an option I have to make this one work.

Ordering online is your best bet, in my opinion. You'll have to do without for a week or two, but that's not the end of the world. Things like this are too specialty to leave it a crap shoot at some local shop. I personally loathe having to do this running-around kinda crap.

www.lpgear.com is a good site. Google is your friend.

I can't remember the name of the place, but there's a store on Bay St. that carries all possible sizes of turntable belts. I also believe that Q-lectronics on Fort at the Oak Bay junction carries a variety of turntable belts. If you want to find out the name of the first place I mentioned, try calling Sound Hounds and asking for the name of the store on Bay St. that sells turntable belts. They'll know what you're talking about because they have suggested it to me on a couple occasions.

All legit suggestions, but I think the girl is in Nanaimo.

Sorry, don't have any suggestions of my own since I don't know Nanaimo at all. Hope you find something, broken record players are bullshit.
