They used to be all ages with bar, but they don't really do much all ages anymore.

Cuz yeah going to see Sebadoh on Sat. @ The Rickshaw and it's AA so they must just choose random shows to make AA or not.

Did it make you want to get a huge bass drum for your kit that's on a stand you can play with your hands? I don't even play drums and it made me want that.
Plus, real stoked on the percussionist/multi instrumentalist. That dude was talented. And he was also shirtless and had a deep south mullet. Bad ass.

I didn't really either. Saw Gustav and Bong but didn't talk to either.

saw tons of people I knew, but only said hi to one or two of them. loner life. show was like a who's who of way old vancouver folks with lots of weirdos.
watched close to an hour of SWANS, but was just too tired and hungry. couldn't handle it. after having watched about 5 different bands play two+ hour-long sets in the past two months I'm pretty much wiped for saga-like performances. I went to 5 shows this weekend. ugh.
percussionist looked like an extra cromagnon dirt-freex version of my boy Adam fucking Hunt. was into it.
SWANS sounded really good tonally and had some really good composition at parts but I didn't get what I was expecting. I heard from friends that they were mega loud and heavy in Toronto/Montreal and it just didn't deliver. sound is rarely good at the rickshaw and playing on stage there is frusturating because all you can hear is bass and drums
if you're lucky. sounded like the soundman got a good scolding before the last song of the night for not being able to handle his knobs.
