Zach- you can listen to other audio on your computer with no problem? And you can load up shit on My Space, but the audio won't play? Have you tried clearing your cache... or updating your flash player?

Well here's the thing: My computer came with a one year subscription to Norton Antivirus. After that year was up I tried to uninstall it, but it left shit on my computer and as a result it can't update anything. The whole thing pretty much needs to wiped at this point, but I don't have restore disks, so I'm kind of in a pickle.

Have you tried after uninstalling it deleting every file folder it left throughout the computer
Restarting
Backing up the registry then removing all references if from your registry?

i don't even know what a registry is. My computer skills are very minimal.

i may be able to help you in the future zach

i have an external harddrive i use to back things up. you could put all your music/files/photos/whatever onto that harddrive that you wanted to save

do a whole computer whipe and start over. then just drag and drop the old files you saved right back onto it

i could also just try and fix your registry etc
