Ire - What Seed, What Root?

Post by canon.docre »

Has anyone even heard of this band? Criminally underated. Sounds like a .. fuck, I don't know, a really slowed down Converge? This record fucking stomps. I'm on the prowl for it on vinyl.

this really needs to be sit down and listened to start to finish though. If you like slow heavy and hardcore, you will not regret it. Just fucking amazing.

MONSTER Record. I rarely see LP copies crop up, but they're out there. On par with the best of other great '90s Montreal / Ottawa bands (OEGP, Uranus, Drift).
The 7" and the first LP are also good but the split with Seized is pretty awful on both sides.

I'm obsessed with everything Seized has done. Did it feature the British poet talking vocals and flute? I eat that shit up.
