I like clean looking, minimal posters, easy to read text. No crazy logos for most part.

to bad i sent you one. pretty much fits what you described. seriously you should use it as it looks like a vile style show poster.

also no crazy logos, what if the bands own logo is crazy?

personally I find that a little lame, if someone chose to not use the logo for my band on a poster that I was headlining (this is hypothetical) I'd be a little bit offended to be honest.

Any logo for the most part i don't use. I will use whatever to make it work in my photo. Granted there have been cases where i have used show posters others have made that have band logos on or adding a band last min and to lazy to edit poster so just put a band logo on.


I guess you better not use me as a headliner then. I prefer easier to read text as it is more noticeable and quick to read for someone passing by. I find most logos tend to get to the point of unreadability or just are large and cause too much clutter.

this is all valid, I just meant that it would bother me personally as for me it would be a logo that I feel best represents that band and would be just one more component of the band and for it to not be utilized would probably upset me.

also I dont think I've ever seen one of you poster in real life, I just always associated them with facebook events.

It is minimalistic.
so it has that going for it. Almost seems to "crust/grind" whatever that means
If i don't whip up something of my own I may just use this.
and as john said..... a bit hard to read.

I always felt that cloister(that font) was the easiest black letter font, I don't know I thought it would keep it visually interesting instead of just using regular fonts we see all the time, as those become somewhat monotonous to the eye. but I don't think this one will win out.

as for time, I seem to remember once asking for the time at a castle show only to be told same time as always, so i felt it was unnecessary.

not to sound winey but I've never seen one of your posters in person. also if the only advertisement for the show is facebook it doesn't need readably logos as the events headline most often contain the headliners name. IMO

ps. as i fudged info on the poster this whole thing is moot.

I like that I keep hearing about this show and Vile Intent's tour because I will be on tour myself and am not going to get to see them (we were supposed to play together in Saskatoon but that fell through). One of the most raging bands going right now.
