Cassette to internet transfer
I got a bunch of demo and comp. tapes from Vancouver and other places that I'd really like to get on the internet before the tapes die. Does anyone know how to do this/know somewhere i could go to get this done?
Re: Cassette to internet transfer
1) put tape in tape player
2) take 1/8" stereo mini jack male to 1/8" stereo mini jack male cord
3) plug one end into the "line out" of the tape player (or "phones" but make sure you monitor it to be the optimal level, probably 2/3 up)
4) plug the other end into the "line in" of a computer or laptop (not mic in)
5) record and separate the tracks in any audio recording program... Audacity is a free example of this
6) save and upload the files

Thanks, that sounds pretty easily actually.
