didn't you only want like 20-30 people coming to your show anyway? i wouldn't think there will be that much crossover between the people going to see a pop punk/indie rock show and the people going to see a sludge/grindcore/crust show... you also have no touring bands on your bill, why not just push it back a week?

because thats the day they have open, I'm not in charge of their schedule. youd be surprised about the cross over appeal. ask your drummer. still have money involved in this wether or not their touring bands their still out of towners,ferry aint cheap.

i've been to tons of footsies shows and they were very, very different from SBB shows and consisted of pretty much 100% different people in the crowd. have you even asked them if they'd be down to do it a different day? whatever man, sorry for trying to be helpful...

We can't really change the day as our guitarist lives far away from us. Not that there is that much crossover but is there any way we can set it up so people can go to both?

probably not, both are far away from each other.

combinig only really works if everyone can join in, human and possibly jelly boyz would end up getting cut. and thats not really fair for either.

Okay, maybe that was a bit harsh, but this really isn't a big deal. Any body who's booked shows has been thrown worse curve balls.

Alexis, you should definitely try and make yours earlier so this is doable.

people keep talking about them sounding nothing alike, wich isnt the point, people that would be coming to my show probably wouldnt because of the other show at the same time, they dont sound the same, but its mostly the same regulars coming to either one. so please keep it shut.

people are only into one type of music! people couldn't possibly want to see pop punk bands and crust bands! that is just absurd!

I've been trying to be very accommodating here. people have given sugestions and I've shot them down, not because I'm some nad who can't take accept help, but because the suggestions given won't work. In the past i said I didnt want an excessive amount of people to show up, I live in a modestly sized housereal close to to other house, both of which have families with kids, I want a small group of people to come, but I can guarantee you that if these shows had to happen at the same timez zero people besides the bands would be there. I didnt pick this day to be obtuse, I didnt pick it at all the bands did, and i set them up with what they needed, because thats what you do, you accomadate the bands playing.


I'm waiting to hear back from some people aabout moving my show to earlier, giving people enough time time to get to brainoil, as I dont want them to compete.

why am I posting all this, because I want both shows to go well, AND with all the trouble I've gone through, I would hope some of you would be mature enough to not just say, "fuck Alexis, come to this show"
