does this taste anything like pho? because if you could put pho...in a sandwich... then you'd have the most amazing thing ever and the world would collapse.

Yeah, there's a place on Robson right around Richards and Seymour that does a yummy tofu sub, called (I think) Viet-sub. Ask Carl about them, he does runs down there for us for lunch.
I think it's probably about a 3 minute walk from your work. Just get them without the hot peppers unless you're a real fan of the burning hot evil.

There's a place in Calgary that has tofu subs that slay.

I will second the Falafel Maison recommendation...delicious falafel, and the old lady is very appreciative of compliments and will reward polite conversation with free food!

We get our falafels from Pita Wrap Cafe on Dunsmuir. They do great greek food in general, but also do killer veggie wraps.
