When I was a little kid I saw this really poorly made movie on video called " Don't be Afraid of the Dark".

I never saw it again in adulthood, and I'm sure it's as cheesy as can be, but this movie scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Little monster men living in your walls? Fuck that shit, I was having none of it!

Any of you have that movie when you were a kid that just scared the crap out of you?

P.S. I was reminded of this because they're remaking it now.

All this did, though, was fuel my love for horror movies. I'm one of those guys that gets obsessed with the things that scare him (to a point. Will never, ever do anything that involves flying/heights).

I have a hard time watching all these to this day

I own 3 copies of the exorcist. VHS, DVD and blue ray and I never watch them, but I love the film.

The beginning of Ghostbusters, the whole library ghost scene...fuuuuck I still cant watch it.
Event Horizon, when they found that tape from the old crew, couldnt sleep after that uggg.

the video game for this on commodore 64 was sick

The only movie that's ever really scared me was The Exorcist. I saw it when I was 14, loved every second of it, and to this day I've been to terrified to ever watch it again. I have a fear of Oujia boards because of that movie.

This exact same thing happened to me, same age, even. I can't do horror movies, I get scurred.

hell yes to the dark crystal!!! also the neverending story gives me the weirdest feeling in my stomach when i watch it, its fucked

scary movies are the worst, there is no reason to put yourself through that!

it, candyman, and hellraiser series. my dad made me watch candyman when i was 7. and from then on we spent sunday nights watching horror movies. no wonder i dont like being out after dark as an adult!

this isn't a movie, but that episode of buffy called bad eggs or something, where they have to do that stupid childcare thing with the eggs that have monsters in them...ugh scared me SHITLESS when it was first on, i never watched it the whole way through until last year.
