Integrity: Seriously, why do people keep talking about this band?? Yes, more of their 90's output is amazing, I own multiple albums by them. But they should have stopped recording albums and playing shows over a decade ago. They also seem to be in the unfortunate position of being a band that kids who don't fucking get it jock to seem credible. Dwid has been milking this thing for way too long, and kids just keep eating it up. I honestly feel like most people who jock this band don't even like them.

Cro-Mags: They recorded one great album, one good album, and a bunch of the worst music ever recorded. I don't get how a band can record one great record and then milk it for two decades? I guess it's kinda the same deal as Integrity, they have become this band that's cool to like so kids seem credible. Bands should be enjoyed on their own merits, not on their reputation.

Feel free to do any of the following:
1. Call me a negative piece of shit
2. Refute my statements
3. Post bands you feel the same way about (yeah, they're good, but shut the fuck up, I'm sick of hearing about it)

I've never gotten into Integrity. They're ok. Willa and Zach jerk off to them all the time.

I wish people would shut the fuck up about Pig Destroyer. Yeah Prowler in the Yard is awesome, Terrifyers good too. Phantom Limb is fucking garbage and they should all just retire so Scott Hull can stick to Agoraphobic Nosebleed, JR Hayes can sit in his apartment carving girls names into his fat stomach and the drummer can go play in Hilary Duffs backup band for all I care. Ok I dont actually mean that but still, they're not the greatest grindcore band of the past whatever amount of time.

danny I know why you are saying all of this, we have discussed it before. but remeber that age of quarrel is one of those essential records that influenced alot of bands and still continues to. and as for them milking it, the jj mags put on an amazing show.
as for integrity i have no argument other then I just like them and the newest ep rules even though its just dwid with a belgian backing band

Hey, I like Pig Destroyer. I listen to them a lot... but then again, I've always liked Agoraphobic Nosebleed better...

also, have heart. most people who know me know I love this band. I'm not going to say its any fault of their own and infact I get the impression this was a major contributing factor to their break up but they became that stepping stone band for kids to half heartedly get into hardcore and cling onto. have heart are good but they are not the most thought provoking band around that people put them on a pedestal for and make them out to be. the set they played in seattle on the last tour was just filled with those little shits, the ones you can spot from a mile away who dont get punk rock and never will. most of which will be gone by this time next year.

american nightmare: yes they were pretty good, but not worth paying a hundred bucks on ebay for a hoodie that says "AN" amd suicide file>horror show>american nightmare

energy: no explanation, band is garbage and I feel bad for anyone who thought putting out their records was a good idea

Yes, Age of Quarrel is essential. I agree, I'm just tired of being told that by kids who's lifespan in hardcore lasts less than a year and aren't even aware that they released a bevvy of shit records afterwards.

Knowing your roots means learning from the mistakes of the past, not ignoring them... Unless we're talking about later SSD... I think we really should just pretend that never happened.

Humanity is the Devil is to me what a whole host of Posi bands are to most hardcore kids. Integrity is my Judge, Youth of Today and Earthcrisis all rolled into one. I've never heard a band/album that describes my world view as perfectly as this band. I do not simply love Integrity, I worship Integrity.


THAT BEING SAID, if one more sixteen year old prick acts like a douchebag and then points to the Holy Terror Church of Final Judgement as his reason's for doing so, I will beat him unmercifully with a bag full of doorknobs. Therefore, as much I love love love Integrity, I must fully back what you say.

Can't say I agree. Terrifyer was a step in the right direction. Everything was there that should have been. A worthy follow up to Prowler. Phantom Limb came out and they added some random dude in the band that literally does nothing, and JR Hayes scaled back his lyrics/narrative on the album. Album cover, wow John Baizely? That sure is a surprise coming from a band on Relapse! Songs kinda meander around. Overall kind of found it too phoned-in. Don't get me wrong I will play the living fuck out of 38 Counts up to Terrifyer but everyone jumping on their dicks after hearing Phantom Limb? Really??

Ugh don't even get me started on Pig Destroyer. Seriously, listen to the Orchid / Pig Destroyer split and the Agoraphobic Nosebleed / Cattlepress split then anything Scott Hull has done post-2003 and try to tell me that it's not a watered down shadow of what the man used to be capable of. Phantom Limb isn't even the worst of it, that "sludge metal" CD Pig Destroyer crapped out last year is a fucking embarrassment... not to mention the Agoraphobic Nosebleed side of their split with Insect Warfare, that shit is absolutely pathetic especially on a slab of vinyl alongside probably the best grindcore band of the last 5 years. It's amazing what singing to Relapse Records will do to an awesome grind band...

Are you talking about Natasha? That's a re-issue of the bonus disc that came with Terrifyer. You need the original Surround Sound version. Yeah it's not Corrupted quality but it still was a pretty cool little experiment for the band. Totally sounds bourgeoisie but listening to it on 5.1 digital surround sound = awesome.
