Tattoos are for dummies. What happens when you're 50, huh? What happens when your FUCK THE SYSTEM or UP THE PUNX tats are no longer legible or applicable? What happens when your grandkids caress your wrinkles and ask you why there's unintelligable writing and a sexy babe on your body? WITH AGE YOU WILL SEE YOUR FOLLY
...or maybe I'm just jealous of those that can get them since I have an extremely low pain threshold.

You've seen most of my stuff Pat. I've gone exclusively to Tattoo Zoo so far.
Bryan has done the most work on me. These are the two most recent pieces he's done.

Colin did this monster of a piece on me. It hurt. It hurt a lot.

geri and Jeremy have also both done work on me, but I don't have pictures of their stuff up. geri's website is above, and Jeremy's website hasn't been updated in I don't know how long, so really isn't worth looking at. I'd go in and look at the work he's done in his portfolio.
Jamer/Chris David and the rest of Government Street Tattoo are sweet. They're who I'm hitting up to finish my left arm/other side of my neck. Website=

Spencer and Emily at Urge Tattoos are also excellent. Pauly has a good bit of work done on him by Spencer, he might be able to put some stuff up. Website=

Man, fuck... Willa, that's some righteous ink.
See, that's the thing. I think tattoos are sweet, but I can't justify getting one myself. AND I'M AFRAID ALWAYS AFRAID

Thanks dude! And I get it, tattoos aren't for everyone. They really shouldn't be. Kind of makes doing it a little less important, IMO. Not that it's the be all and end all of my personality, but it's definitely something that sets me apart from other people and I like that.

A few years back, I saved up a bunch of cash (more than I've saved in my life) hoping to get a few tats of my fav album arts. Then I pussied out. That being said, I think the cost is often a putoff for me and maybe others. It's so expensive! (Not to say that's inappropriate; to my understanding, given the time and materials the artists put into their work, expense is understandable.)

no pictures but you've probably seen them
Shark eating the world (left thigh) was done by geri
Judge Hammers (right foot) was done by geri
Fake/joke gang tattoo (left ankle) by Colin
If you haven't guessed by this thread, most of the hardcore kids in this city go to Tattoo Zoo (for good reason).

my recent pieces. both from D-boy at Gov't St. Tattoos. That shop is the only place i'd personally go in victoria. though, tattoo zoo is good too, i just like traditional american tattoo style personally.

honestly I can't wait to be like 65years old and explaining the stories behind my faded tattoos to my grand children.
This is assuming I make it to 65.

The best places in Vic IMO are Tattoozoo and Government st. I personally don't think geri's portfolio does him justice, but that's just me. I love all the dudes at TZ, so I rep that place hard, plus I think Bryan does some amazing work.
edit: I tried to post pictures from Bryan's Flickr of mine, but photobucket is epic failing.

Tattoo Zoo does great work, but has anyone ever been there without being friends with someone in the room? Ive felt more welcome at black panther meetings. But I guess you gotta be a dick to have a shop on warf street.

Jeremy's kind of a dick, haha. Bryan's an absolute sweet heart though, but I suppose I can't say that I've gone in there without knowing anyone.

Bryan and Colin are incredibly open and nice guys who will bro down with you in an instant. Jeremy and geri are cranky, and definitely off-putting when you first meet them, but once they've warmed up to you they're pretty rad.
I've found tattoo shops in general to be kind of clique-y, though. I think it's a combo of tattoo's being INCREDIBLY popular now, so some tattoo artists either begin to be treated like rock stars, or just act like that anyway. The guys at Tattoo Zoo never have come off that way, though, which is one of the reasons I love that place. Those guys just love to do artwork.

QFT. Every time I see some huge, awful piece of tribal, all I think is "Good, some kid got his braces."
