well that was thepath everyone decided or well voted on with the public input

It was raised to 2.25 and was going to stay at that for however many years

was going to get raised slowly and woudl have been like $2.30 or osmething stupid for 2009.

This will make me take the bus less to be honest which isn't a bad thing. I rarely do to begin with, this just encourages me to be more active and walk to places. It seems kind of odd though. Why is the fare going up (ok gas/etc costs more) but really, is the performance going to improve? Our buses average on 10-20 minutes to arrive. The western communities you're lucky if the bus comes within 20 minutes. compared to other cities where more than 5 minutes is apparently unreasonable. I'm just bitching reallly.

i quit buying bus passes many months ago. I use the bus maybe 4 times a month. It's just too expensive for me to buy a bus pass. When we had our van running, it cost me less to insure it and drive it occasionally than to buy a bus pass... which is just backwards logic.

I thank Allah everyday I dont have to bus victoria anymore. The schedule is hardly ever right, its all but shut down by 11pm, and there is next to no coordination with the 70 actually making a ferry 3 hours later.
