GENERAL NEWS

Up and down year. Some really slow points (1 lone sale in March) and some high points (47 sales in April, 99% of which were JSN012 pre-orders). Things got pretty shitty money-wise in relation to the distro and the rest of my life so I almost shut it down for good, but luckily everything fell into place. I will say this once and for all: DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING WITH ERIKA RECORDS. Moving on, things are looking pretty good around here lately, lots of stuff coming in and a lot of good releases coming in 2011 from everyone. Less than 90 copies of THE SADDEST LANDSCAPE / PIANOS BECOME THE TEETH - Split 9" are left, and I'm extremely stoked on that figure. It took about a month and the majority of the press was gone. If you're still missing it you can get it from me or the following distros: Bear, Ebullition (restocking soon), RevHQ, Robotic Empire, Stickfigure, Vinyl Junkie.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Canada Post has always been and will unfortunately always be ridiculous. Something like the third most expensive shipping rates in the world. With that in mind, here's the low down on shipping when ordering for me though my Limited Pressing store...

The conundrum of shipping via weight: Canada Post bases their shipping prices on weight (and distance in some cases, but the price differences are negligible). Limited Pressing currently only hosts the option of shipping via quantity. How does this effect your order? Currently, I can make all shipping rates 100% accurate only if your order contains up to two copies of the same format. For instance, if you get one LP to the USA, it should be $7.77, if you get two it should be $11.54. If you get three, shipping is NOT $15.31, which is what is displayed in the cart, and actually remains at $11.54. For situations like this, or for mixed-format orders (i.e. 7"s + 12"s) please email me your orders and I'll manually calculate shipping and get back to you. Or, you can trust in the system and checkout with the potentially-inaccurate shipping and I will refund any difference once your order has shipped.

I'm working on a price chart for shipping which can be found on the About page for the time being. It's still very much a work in progress but it gives an idea of what you can expect when ordering from me.

Shipping prices are as low as absolutely possible. This is the exact amount I am charged when I ship your records, no added fees, not even one single cent higher than what I pay. Canada Post still sucks, though, and if you're concerned with shipping prices, please contact me and we'll work it out through email.

Until Limited Pressing can offer the service of shipping by weight (they're working on it), this is what we have to settle for.
Thanks for taking the extra step with me.

CONSIGNMENT

I've started doing consignment with my distro. If you've got anything you'd be interested in sending my way to get more distributed in Canada, send me an email and we'll sort it out. I typically take up to 5 copies of each release, but may take more on a case by case basis. If you need references to make sure I'm legit I can hook you up with some for sure.

Year-end sale of sorts.

Nearly everything has been marked down. Some stuff $0.25 cents, some stuff a few dollars. Go have a look-see. You'll probably start noticing that everything coming in will be a bit cheaper than ever before. Canada Post sucks. I can't do anything about how expensive shipping is, but I can change how much I sell things for. This really is the lowest I can go without losing money. What I charge only gets me my money back + a few cents to cover the cost of mailers, PayPal fees, webhosting, plus a handful of cents to put towards future releases. All in all the "markup" on any given record is very low. "If it ain't cheap, it ain't punk". Right?

actually it's a new band in the works. members of Burning Ghats, Canadian Werewolf, New World On Fire. nothing like any of those bands. pretty stoked on it. still trying to sort out a vocalist, though. might be sorted out soon and possibly a demo in late feb.

JSN014: OSK / THE AFTERNOON GENTLEMEN - Split 7" out now!

Image

This is finally out. Several months in the making, delayed thanks to the postal service, we now have this split 7" between Canada's power violence-influenced trio, OSK, and the UK's answer to INSECT WARFARE, THE AFTERNOON GENTLEMEN. 500 slabs of black wax with only 250 exclusive to this side of the pond. Split release with Rawer Breath (Canadian brethren) as well as Active Rebellion, Dead Heroes, and Undislessed (UK counterparts). If you like grind, power violence, fastcore, all of the above and whatever you want to call it, check this one out. As a side note, OSK features members of HAGGATHA, MASS GRAVE, and the late great MUDLARK. TAG probably has some members of other bands, too.

$3.50 + shipping.

jersey jay is no longer on bass, which sucks because he's an amazing musician but i guess he's having some health issues and i'm glad they're choosing to press on.

No Troy Campbell(NWOF Troy). He was saying he has a new project in the works. I forget the details of it but I think it's him, Tyler and Jay and I forget who else. He thinks if I liked New World On Fire that it will probably interest me.

Whats your new project like ?
