Far Beyond Metal is their best song, I think. SYL were my favourite band in Highschool. All things Devin did I loved though, really. Terria is brilliant! I need to listen to those albums again. It's been so long.

Grade 9 and 10 were all about Metal for me. SYL were a big part of it. I had a Devin Townsend Band hoodie, and an autograph from him on my wall I got when I ordered a CD from him that I already had, but it was when his basement flooded and he was trying to get money to cover the damage.
Who'd a thunk it, right?

Captain Cleanoff - "Symphonies of Slackness" Kings of fucking Australian grindcore. Amazing vocals, ridiculous drumming and great production

Image

Crucifix - "Dehuminization" D-beat as fuck.

Image

Damaar - "Demo" Fucked warmetal from Lebanon. Not a novelty band. Legitimately ferocious.

You showed me this band back at snuggle and i definatly fell in love.

but whenever i hear them i can only think all things Scott browne. their vocals and drumming remind me of your vocals and drumming. i remember you did some low vox on the compound terror recording we did and it brings me back everytime i hear this band.

Crossed Out/Dropdead Split 5" - hands down one of the best records i own, so much anger on the 3 minutes of crossed out material.
Masskontroll - Recycle or Die Flexi - Holy shit two masskontroll records within two weeks im one lucky guy.
Napalm Death F.E.T.O - Best ND record.
Project X 7" - actually a rad youthcrew record, still funny though.
Naysayer 7" - HEAVY

SO MANY SOLID RECORDS

Scored The EPs of RP by Rudimentary Peni for $4 at Talk's Cheap the other day, really good but the songs are lacking a certain edge that makes Death Church so amazing the whole way through. It's ridiculous that I waited so long to get into this band.
