Anyone go to the Hope Con show in Seattle?
We happened to be in California this past weekend so we caught the show in San Francisco, with Nails, Never Healed, Lewd Acts and Touche Amore.
Really fun show, but we missed nails because they were being slow as hell letting people in. Best of the night for me was Touche Amore. They were amazing live. Really great energy and the crowd were so into it, there were constant sing alongs and people dancing like crazy.

They seem like an emo band to me, from that new school of those bands, like Comadre, Ampere and La Quiete. Could be a context thing too, because the audience was loving them in SF so the energy when they played was awesome. The only thing about them I didn't get was how stoked on them everyone (you wouldn't normally expect to be stoked on them) was. There were punk, hc and metal kids all going off to an emo band. It was weird but really cool.xchadx wrote:I really don't "get" Touche Amore. I'm into a lot of Emo bands, and from what I could gather I THINK that was the vibe they were trying to go for when I saw em? But I don't get it. Whatever.

To add to my previous response: I agree with you more on the not getting their vibe, but for me it's on record. The songs translated live to be more impassioned and fierce, but on record they sound cool, but somehow seem more straight ahead in their vibe.xchadx wrote:I really don't "get" Touche Amore.
