Re: Hey Everyone, Update Me On Your Bands
the second original song for Kunta Hadij's split with jelly boyz/bleach babes/killed spirits is ready, we just have to record the cover. Also finished writing 3 out of hopefully 5 songs for an EP.

This for Iskra? I seem to remember either Danni and/or Wolf saying you guys were recording new stuff. Also you're new guitar player and bass player are hilariously awkward. I like them.
Got the test press for the No Eulogy LP in. It sounds sick. Records should be here end of July. Now to screenprint 500 covers...
...fuck.

Then you'll go from being lonely to wishing that everybody would just fuck off because their a bunch of fucking buzzkills going on about how 'you've got a problem" and they "just want to be their to help you". You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

New band will be jamming featuring members from Gutless.
I know various members of Promises have mentioned they might look to start a new band after the summer when they have more free time.

Jelly Boyz have written 3 songs for the split with Jakob's band that are 10000000x better than anything we've done.

Re: Hey Everyone, Update Me On Your Bands
Chaos, Disorder And Panic just recorded with my friends The Killed Spirits as my backup band. Pretty stoked on how it's sounding so far. CD will be released this thursday with 2 epic tour kickoff/cd release shows in Vancouver and Chilliwack followed by a tour from Vancouver to Regina.
Couldn't be happier with the release shows.
Well I wish both Vancouver shows could have been all ages but I respect the people involved plus Cambridge are one of my favorite local bands, Kleins 96 are fun and The Killed Spirits recorded the cd. Chilliwack show i'm headlining for A Canadian Werewolf In...(New World On Fire's side project) one of my first favorite local bands and the people who got me into shows. Collectively these guys have played in almost every legendary band from my hometown. I remember when I first started out opening for them so I'm abit intimidated to be headlining reunion.

Re: Hey Everyone, Update Me On Your Bands
my musical status: human demise for the time being is now a two piece, as a few of you saw this lineup debuted at kay's house. we're playing at the ramp this saturday, and then hardcore fest, then who nows what the future holds.
recording has been put on hold so that we can concentrate on writing.there should be new shirts printed for sale at hardcore fest, and maybe a tape (but thats pretty optimistic)
I am also still plodding away at noise stuff, mainly to entertain my self.
oh and I'm jamming with simon next week, maybe something cool will be produced by that.
things are going much better than they were last year

Glad to hear it. I find the busier you keep yourself musically the more cool things will come your way.Human-Demise wrote: things are going much better than they were last year

Good! Write. JAM. Tighten the fuck up. Cuz that shit was rad on Saturday, and tight it will be so much better.
So, just my opinion, but I always am kind of bummed on bands that have merch before they have recordings. Yeah, you guys recorded in the past, but you're essentially a different band now. I would suggest focusing on writing, get some dates lined up with Kevin, and record the shit out of this. THEN focus on shirts.there should be new shirts printed for sale at hardcore fest, and maybe a tape (but thats pretty optimistic)
Just a suggestion though. Whatever you decide to do is cool.

shirts provide money, that then goes to fund recordingsHollow wrote:So, just my opinion, but I always am kind of bummed on bands that have merch before they have recordings. I also dont really like selling music, Id rather give it away on the internet, and sell shirts at shows.

That's legit. Not how I do things, but I understand where you're coming from.
