So i snagged this from a friend who got the leaked version on TPB - complete with album art.

The cover art is amazing, it looks very muchbin te style of Turn it Around & i think it is the same artist. Edit * it IS the same artist

The music, its a 180 from broadcasting (thank fuck!) and the vocals are raw & scathing and aside from one "sing along" chorus, very aggressive and biting.

I am pretty sure andrew wrote alot of the guitars on this album, although i cant confirm that, its just the way it feels. Edit * yes he did, and also played alot of it as well

Kyle is one of my favorite drummers in hardcore and in my eyes can do no wrong and the timing throughout this record is insane!

Its 11 tracks and i cant pick out a weak song in the batch.

Liam from cancer bats has a great guest spot on the track Balance, which is a great tune.

I am definitely buying this when it comes out and lord help them if they dont release vinyl!

Cant wait to hear some of these songs live!

Because I am so awesome that when I miss spell things, people just adopt it as the proper spelling rathet than correct me.

by the way rather is now spelt rathet .

I prefer Broadcasting and think this sounds like a harder Propaghandi in not a good way
I guess I should just listen more. but so far, least favourite release.

I think pretty good for a Comeback Kid record, if someone else released I probably would be like meh and then never listen to it again. The only Comeback Kid release that I am actually stoked on and actually listen to is Turn it Around. I can get down wih Wake the Dead, but honestly I never listen to that album.

never been huge on Comeback Kid. That said, I will enjoy their set and get wild for Promises.

Really? Man, Wake The Dead and Turn It Around were big influences on my emerging hardcore curiosity back in the day

TIA is a good record but I can't remember the last time I actually listened to it.
WTD is a pretty good record but it's kinda boring after awhile.

that said... lots of friends, Comback Kid+Promises, 10$, venue with a stage?(is that little one gonna be used?)= Me pretty fucking happy!

Comeback Kid do put on a pretty fucking good live show to.

Yeah CBK TIA was one of the influential albums that was like hey hardcore is awesome lets go to shows.
