Clandestine Blaze - 1-man blackmetal, stripped down raw primitive blackmetal. No fucking around. No excuses. Probably my favourite blackmetal "band."
Deathspell Omega - new stuff is challenging to listen to. ultra technical and layered without sounding anything close to deathmetal. discordant and pleasing to my ears.
Drudkh - also my favourite blackmetal band. hahahah. ukranian folk-melodies transformed into marching blackmetal. not much speed in this band, but some of the best riffs of all time, of any genre. repetitive, deliberate and inspiring.
Recommend blackmetal.

i'm really stoked on Bone Awl right now, ultra raw punk as fuck black metal. tons of releases out but the Meaningless Leaning Mess LP really stands out for me. also been jamming Wold, crazy black metal/noise hybrid from Saskatchewan that most people on here (and in general) would definitely like.
