SIXBREWBANTHA NEW TRACKS
Gonna come out on vinyl hopefully by summertime as a split with Winnipeg mince warriors Archagathus, a couple tracks are probably also gonna get recycled for a comp CD-R called Blasting the Wasteland on the newly revived Bovine Records (an amazing label from the 90s that put out tons of great grindcore). Three new tracks, a re-recording and a Dahmer cover. Get high and mosh.

Re: SIXBREWBANTHA NEW TRACKS
guitar pedals work for vocals. just saying. even without guitar pedals, there are plenty of rack effects and even consumer level digitech shit that does this.

Re: SIXBREWBANTHA NEW TRACKS
we decided to cut one of the tracks shortly after i posted this. the pitch shifting was an effect added on after, we did use a pitch shifter live once on tour and it turned out really badly (aka awesome).Human-Demise wrote:i think one of them is missing.

Re: SIXBREWBANTHA NEW TRACKS
the problem with alot of pitch shifters live is that sometimes you either
a) need a noise gate so it doesnt start pitch shifting the guitar and drums that are in the background
b) the wet/dry mix is like 50/50 when it should be 100/0

Re: SIXBREWBANTHA NEW TRACKS
yeah, I'd try achieving a simple noiseless pitch shifter (via guitar pedal) setup with a mic preamp (cause a mic adapted with a cord to 1/4" would create a high-noise situation), NS-2, then pitch shifter (such as the PS-5 that I have which can indeed do 100% wet)
or you could just buy this all-in-one shit:
http://vocalistpro.com/product.php?name=Vocal300#feat
I feel like they used to have some even cheaper vocal processors that had pitch shifting.
tech nerds can suggest other ways in this thread.

Re: SIXBREWBANTHA NEW TRACKS
So if anyone actually cares to listen to the shit this thread was started for I just put new, better sounding mixes up on the above page. Otherwise, carry on discussing gear and not caring.

then they were like (woh pitchshifter, howdaydodat??) so you should consider it all interest and enjoyment of your material.

Re: SIXBREWBANTHA NEW TRACKS
I'm pretty sure Bryan wasn't saying that as a put down. I'm sure if this thread devolved into talking about gear he would be fine with that.
EDIT: New mix sounds fucking wicked.
