Human Demise Most recent demo.

Post by Human-Demise »

Hiya everybody. so i just finished uploading the first set of pre-production demo's from my bands next release.
keep in mind the production is very raw, and the songs are still in the development stages (most don't even have names).
http://human-demise.bandcamp.com/album/ ... -demo-2011
still its free grind, cant argue with that.
Anatomy of Lost Thoughts is probably my most favourite song every made by us.

any ways, we should be recording these and some more stuff for a tape release soon (don't worry, there will be a digital alternative for your iPads and such).
also anYbody know a good, cost efficient place to get tapes made? we were going to go with mind melt productions, but they aren't offering that service right now.

man you guys more or less just started and you already have four "demos" up on your page, no offense but you should dedicate more effort to working on and tightening up your songs before throwing up tons of recordings on bandcamp. there are some decent riffs on here but the longer songs are way too long and don't really sound like they know where they're going, if a song is going to approach the 4 minute mark it needs to be more than just a bunch of riffs strung together. also, write lyrics cause they're pretty cool and i'm sure you have something insightful to say.

as for tapes, SBB has gone through http://www.duplication.ca for all our tape releases if you're looking to go the pro-pressed route and actually spend money, if you're going the punx route and have a bunch of recordable tapes laying around you should talk to tiemen because i hear he just acquired a tape duplicator and i'm sure you could negotiate something.

actually im gonna go threw a pick this apart cause some other stuff sticks out.

2 years. 3 demos, one on the page is unrelated to human demise.

not to be picky but i really like that phrase, just cause you say doesnt make the rest sting any less.

15 songs is a ton? also we all live far apart, have busy schedules so how much is we play is all we have.

uhhhh isnt that how songs are riffs strung together.

ehh sorry i jumped off the handle on you, its not really you, its a lot of the same feedback we've gotten already.

really the only thing that bothers me is that people keep referring to us as a new band.
and tell us to practice more is frustrating because we practice a many times as we possibly can.

it sure is a brutal, unforgiving, miserable life being in a band isn't it?

oof, the gaps between the good parts are absolutely wretched.
I'd say its still worth it because playing shows can be absolutely amazing. downtime blows though.

You've changed man. I don't recall ever overhearing you drop stuff like that on bands like SBD or any of the other godforsaken powerviolence projects that have come and gone in this town that played more shows/recorded more demos than actually practiced.

haha! I miss those days, even though I might have said exactly what bryan just said to those bands. one difference was that those bands all put on tons of their own shows. even if some of them were disasters and led to things like gary oak getting shut down. though I shouldn't totally say that because it lumps some bands together that had different people, some sketchy bros involved in venue fuckups, and some legit dudes who were in young messy punk bands.
