someone needs to teach these chumps that you play shows for a year before you put a demo out, and that demo has to be a CD-R, and then maybe a year or two later you can think about a 7"!

for real we'll have these in late May and it'll be $5 and super cool looking

put out your own fucking 7 inch it isn't insanely expensive and if people like enough they will buy it with or without some punkz label helping you out.

if this is directed at me my band has already paid out of our pockets to put out one of our own 7''s and we have two more coming in the next few months which we're also paying a bunch of money towards, as you're gonna find out when you put your own record out it's actually pretty tough and takes a long time to break even on putting out a 7'' and after awhile the financial strain of putting out your own crap definitely adds up (it may not be "insanely expensive" but it will definitely cost over $1000 which in my world of getting paid $9 an hour is fairly substantial), but that being said my post was intended humorously anyway and i'm stoked for watcher especially because as far as i know none of those kids have appeared on vinyl before and listening to that test press of yourself on a record for the first time is one of the best feelings ever. i still definitely wouldn't mind some guy approaching us and offering to pay to put out our record one of these days though, hehe

lemme record you sometime and i could see the possibilities of that changing. i know alot of people arent into noisy raw as fuck recordings like most of you guys are. but on the other hand dont change your sound for someone else.

^ something to think about. there's a fine line between raw and crappy because it's supposed to be and actual crap because it's inherently so and lazy.

yeh i could do that too, but i suggest working on your song writing a bit more. your band seems as if everyone in the band wants a different sound and it doesnt seem to quite meld together yet. although i know your always having trouble findin people to jam with. also i dont actually have a recording space, but in the case of SBB i'd probably bring stuff to them, and colwood/langford/whatever is far, but possible.
