i have different tastes for hip hop generally.....
Antipop Consortium - Fluorescent Black
Bike For Three! - More Heart Than Brains
Black Star - Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star
Busdriver - Jhelli Beam
Cadence Weapon - Afterparty Babies
Themselves - Crownsdown
Wale - Back To The Feature mixtape
Agree with the Jedi Mind Trick Albums mentioned.
Guilty pleasure
All the Nicki Minaj mixtapes. most of those tracks are pretty sick compared to the album that came out.

Nicki is hit or miss. All depends what kind of hip hop you like. Hard legit 90s hip hop? Trendy, shitty weed rap/Hip-pop (What I like)? I also have no idea how much experience in this genre, so I'm gonna throw out staples too.
Here are some suggestions:
Atmosphere - When Life gives you Lemons paint that shit gold
Chiddy Bang - The Swelly Express
Childish Gambino - EP
Dr Dre - The Chronic & Dr Dre - 2001
Eminem - Recovery (Actually thought this album ruled)
GZA - Liquid Swords
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
Ice Cube - The Predator
Jay Z - The Black Album & Jay Z - Reasonable Doubt (Just my 2 favorites)
MF Doom - Born Like This
NWA - Straight Outta Compton
Notorious BIG - Ready to Die
Pill - 1140: The Overdose OR 4075: The Refill
Ratatat - Remixes (I actually really liked these albums, also got me into more artists)
Rick Ross - Teflon Don
Wacka Flocka Flame - Flockavelli
There's lots there to listen to. You probably won't like most of it, but deal with it! If you let me know what you like, I can be more specific.

Gucci Mane
Juicy J
Big KRIT
Currensy
Raekwon
Tity Boi
Alley Boy
Project Pat
Scarface
Action Bronson
Mayhem Lauren
Cam'ron
Spaceghostpurrp
Prodigy
Lil B
All these rappers have new/recent stuff worth checking out. Keep your trunk slapping. I'm on a phone now so I can't post up mixtapes or albums to check but all are worthwhile, especially that new lex Luger/juicy j, the alchemist/currensy ep, the new KRIT and the latest ep from prodigy. Special shoutouts to alley boy for beating up yung la.

If you're looking for worthwhile doom albums, check operation doomsday, viktor Vaughn 1 and 2, and the monster island czars lp. Dangerdoom is pretty overrated imo, even though madlib has put out some great stuff without mf doom.
I downloaded a new Kool Keith album recently but still haven't checked it out. If you're looking for some awesome shit to zone out on, spaceghostpurrp is doing some good chop an screw, although you might as well just get 3 n' tha morning part 1 and 2 by Dj Screw.

I second the boogie down productions and that tribe called quest album is probably my favourite hip hop album ever. I also suggest three feet high and rising by de la soul.
