tough to say. This shit is nothing like the previous albums.
I can't even think of something to compare it to. Some of it when i listen to it comes off as they are trying to be hella pretentious. Seriously a song called "I Am Extraordinary" where to end he just repeats that over and over again.

I kind of dig it and with more listens i probably will more. I guess it might weird people out that "Blacklisted" has a album with rainsticks, violins, etc in it.

Musically it is great. Not whatever trendy shit people might have expected from them.

Lyrically i still love blacklisted.

Some of the songs kind of have the feel of the songs "Circuit Breaker" and "Wish" off the last album.

which are two of my favourite tracks off that album.

Also a short album. 11 songs 3 of which are interludes.

Basically this is just what they wanted to write.

Adam sorta got me listening to that "Heavier Than Heaven..." album. This one is pretty good so far first track in. Reminds me of ETID, nothing wrong with that.

Although I'm not a big fan of this band, I don't mind their older records when someone puts them on from time to time...but I thought this record was straight up crap (and I am down with lots of 90s grunge bands...which was the sound I kinda thought they were trying to go for). Just sounded like a boring rock record. Not for me.

I think I just, for whatever reason, can't get behind hardcore bands trying to play "rock" a lot of the time hahaha. I love rock music, the past six months I have listened to endless amounts of Down, and recently rekindled my love with Nirvana and The Smashing Pumpkins..and have gotten super into Soundgarden. I just think that this is a failed attempt. Not to discredit anyone that likes it anything, that's cool if you're down. I was never big on Blacklisted anyway, so it doesn't bother me one way or another if they play rock. That Give band wasn't my thing either.

yes at least we can both agree on lots of other things. Like amazing "screamo" bands, burn, strain, burden, that little old band that played after Give.. man i love lion of judah.
