When you're ready for OSRS gold casting spells, press your right click. There are spells with different casting times, and the stronger ones are more difficult to cast. Each spell has a progress bar, and before you go in the middle of a run you should try you test them to check how long they will take to cast.

Spells need knowledge to cast. It starts with a base knowledge value of 12 and you can increase it by using specific pieces of equipment that you can find in Dungeons. Wizards can use Meditate to increase the power of their spells as time passes. It can take some time for this ability to be cast and it is important to be either with an experienced ally or in a safe space during the time you're using it.

Wizards and Clerics also need spell memory to be able to open slots where you store spells. The Dark and Darker demo, you get one spell memory instantly, which allows you to equip five spells.

Play around with spells to see which ones suit you most. According to our experience, offensive spells, like Lightning and Fireball are much superior to the less-effective Invisibility and similar spells, at the very least for Wizards. Clerics also have the benefit of casting buffs to themselves, allowing them to withstand heavier hits and deal some damage with their mace.

You are able to swap your ability for spell memory, which will open up cheap RS gold five slots more, however we've not had any luck finding any additional memory. It may be locked behind the full game, like class skill increase is, or might be a rare loot drop.
