Recent purchases

Post by Hollow »

Since the other music discussion forum died, so did this thread. TIME TO START ANEW.

Went down to the BR, traded in the rest of my CD's (fuck CD's) and got some gooooood shit.

Nailed Down/Ruido split 3"
Hummingbird of Death-Goatmeal 5"
Melvins-Hostile Ambient Takeover 7"
9 Shocks Terror 7"
Half Gorilla/Mudlark split 7"
Rotten Sound-Cycles 12"
Endless Blockade-Turn Illness Into a Weapon 12"
Die Young-The Message 12"
Fuck the Facts-Stigmata High Five 12"
Flux of Pink Indians-Live Statement 12" (this is a present for Meg. I'm kinda "meh" on peace punk)

What the fuck have you guys been buying?

EDIT: Chad, I checked for some Bolt Thrower...no dice. Sorry dude.

Woah, didn't realize that Burning Love had pressed their Demo. That's goin' on the list.

You know, I love Vol. 4, but "Changes" just about kills that record for me. Fuck I like that song.

I have that same Point Break 7", and it's on red vinyl, I believe.

I think we need to have a "come over to my place and listen to records" night.

I remeber when I bought "Seven Churches" on casette in the late 80's...really had a toucgh time listening to it, and couldn't help wondering what that album would have sounded like with better production. Influencial record, but overated...

I know Bolt Thrower rules, Chad had just asked me to check if Black Raven still had any vinyl of theirs left. They didn't.

xchadx wrote:Doooo it dude. Members of Rorschach and Deadguy. Kind of reminds me of a blend of the aforementioned bands, with later era Black Flag. Total fucked up, deranged, depressing as fuck, pissed as hell hardcore. Record blows my mind everytime.
I really think of "She Loves Me She Loves Me Not" as a recorded mental breakdown.

Dance of Days. Book about DC punk and hardcore. Good read.

Last records I bought were a couple Cold Cave records, which were mostly meh with the occasional sweet song.
