I'm fairly sure i'll put northern on here and have contacted nomad already about it. I'd like to get those girls to convince other calgary bands that its worth it to take the ferry over.

This band is now coming to Vic on August 22nd. Northern and one more waiting to be confirmed will be opening. Show is at the V lounge. I'll make a real post about it when I get the bands confirmed

I would have preferred to do it all ages but it's not in the cards right now and V-lounge has been really good about giving us(the whole community) a new place to do shows. We should be taking advantage of that fact while we can so we don't have to go to places like sugar or Evo. EMBRACE THE INDOOR PALM TREES.

V-Lounge doesn't make you give them any money to do shows (even Logan's takes $200 out of the door) and apparently are generally pretty reasonable to deal with, it's not the greatest place but try losing multiple hundred dollars from your own pocket putting on a show just to make sure the band you're bringing over breaks even on their costs and you'll understand why a venue like that is great to have for promoters.

so the line up is currently mares of thrace and northern. I need to find a 3rd band that falls into a general genre. suggestions? nomad can't play this show.

i'm going to bump this on behalf of Kevin.. I believe that Anion from Vancouver will be supporting Mares of Thrace along with Northern for this show. Should be a good one.
