we should start planning this out. so i can ask for these days off. i know for sure i want to be there friday and saturday. then leave sunday at anytime.
so im thinking ask for 3 days off? leave friday morning or something, come back sunday. how does that work for you guys?

ive never taken the Clipper before so im not sure if im reading the schedules right. but

i believe that says we can take an 11:30am sailing to seattle, which would rule.
$145 round trip (i think thats american)
or $115 if we buy them advance

then its figuring out a greyhound. which i think only takes 4 hours, not sure the price or the times

From Van it's $74 roundtrip to Portland, so I'm pretty sure it's cheaper from Seattle. Is there an earlier Clipper, though? Personally I'd like to go early in the morning and not have to have small stress induced freakouts about getting to Portland on time to see Trash Talk.

I'm just sayin'.

so heres what Willa and i heshed out a little last night

we leave the morning of september 10th (friday) and catch the 11:30am clipper sailing. its the only sailing that will get us on time
we make it around 2-3 in seattle
catch the greyhound at 4
make it to portland around 8-8:30
trash talk plays at 11 so that should give us plenty of time to eat, figure out were we need to go and sit down and wait for doors to open

ceremony at 9 on saturday
sleep at 10 (i think theyre at 10)
whatever else we wanna do
make our way back sunday morning to victoria

if we purchase in advance. i think the clipper was 115 round trip. and the bus was 55 roundtrip. plus taxes im sure.
