I honestly have never seen the beat kids play, even for 1 second.

Justin Bieber was in Beat Kids. They were originally called Bieb Kids.ian wrote:who the fuck are the beat kids i was talking about justin bieber

Re: Sept.9th -Vic- Comeback Kid / Living with Lions & more!!!
was this a good turn out?
Re: Sept.9th -Vic- Comeback Kid / Living with Lions & more!!!
Ticker said 182, i personally think it was closer to 200, 225 - 230 with bands.
From 7:15 pm til 7:45 110 kids came through the door, abd all 110 watched promises set
Im
Super stoked on this show in general
Bands were amazing to work with, interviewed Kyle Profeta for the KITE, CBK gave me a hoody and beer cozy for free
1 downer, i think someone took my giant LWL sticker, fuxker was $20

That's rad, I had a feeling the show would bring out lots of kids. Hope they all will come to future Promises shows!!!!

This was legit the largest turnout for a regular VIHC show I've ever seen.
Caught two kids doing coke in the bathroom. Otherwise, chill night.
Security at VEC continues to impress me. Dudes had the place on lock down without being overzealous pricks. I will legitimately say this is the first time I've been impressed by Security. Well done, gents.
Over all, a hellaciously successful night. Great work Pauly/Cam. You guys deserve it.

Then you'll go from being lonely to wishing that everybody would just fuck off because their a bunch of fucking buzzkills going on about how 'you've got a problem" and they "just want to be their to help you". You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

Re: Sept.9th -Vic- Comeback Kid / Living with Lions & more!!!
I had an amazing time at this show, in my opinion one of the best shows I've been to in a long time, for a lot of reasons.
First: bands. I thought every band on this show was excellent. I wasn't stoked on the new LWL singer, but oh well. I liked the order of hardcore/pop punk/hardcore, etc. I thought it helped not get burned out on any one thing, considering I obviously like both genres. The Devil In Me I think were the surprise awesome set for a looooot of people. The guys were so nice too, I talked with the singer a bit and despite being a scary face tattoo guy was SUPER nice. They went into L&M before the show and were talking to my old buddy Sam (of Cut Throat Dynasty, etc. fame!), and apparently were just super nice, offered to get him in on their guest list to make sure he came out to the show (he'd already bought a ticket, haha), and seemed like all around good dudes. Tough guy hardcore with feelings!
Second: Promotion. This show was one of the best promoted I've seen in Vic, both in advertising and getting kids out and in the way it was run. There was a ton of kids, I didn't see any fights, nothing seemed like it went over time and there was minimal setup/tear down times. Honestly, everyone who had a part in putting this on stepped up their game big time, and it showed. This was by far the least stressed I've been about playing a show in regards to time issues and setting up/tearing down (albeit I barely did any tearing down, just let my band use my car to do multiple gear runs, hahaha). Anyways, kudos!
tl;dr Show ruled

I play bass. I play guitar. I do both poorly. What's up.

It's great to see you guys still keeping good shows going in Victoria and not having major problems with shitty kids. Scummy kids were the main reason I stopped putting on shows. Just not worth my time to deal with.
Anyways, kudos!
