What'd you think? This documentary is actually what got me interested in black metal, and that's probably about 50% of what I listen to these days.

Until The Light Takes us was really well done I thought. Loved the interviews with Fenriz and Varg. Both pretty interesting people.

I really enjoyed it. It's a shame Varg's mind has been twisted by the trickster god Loki, because he's an intelligent, well spoken guy other than all the crazy. Definitely a good documentary.

thumbs way up!
which sequence is your favorite? the wailing wall/kuwait burning/coal mine section is unreal.
have you seen the sequels?
It's been years since i watched it, but I remember the scene that stands out is a monk walking down a street and it's very slow and time consuming -- possibly through the business district of a city (I might be making that up). Honestly, I remember every shot in that movie is bloody wonderful; there is something to be said by not saying and instead using the power of cinematography. I downloaded it in blu-ray and I'm super stoked to watch it!
I also downloaded Koyaanisqatsi and look forward to it.

You're right Andrew - i did enjoy The Walking Dead - Although i really do not like the actress who plays Lori [i remember her from Prison Break, and i did not enjoy her character, or her portrayal of character]

I think Shane got cast improperly as well, but thats just my opinion, i hope the remainder of the cast is decent,

the guy playing Rick is growing on me - although my first impression of Carl was that the kid looks much to fair and childish - i always say carl as a dark, brooding kid, this one looks, i dunno, just off.

The zombies look great and the translation from comic book to screen is fairly well done, although they are going to have to alter it at some point [if you have read through the series, you know it gets CRAZY and the majority of the main characters die in 1 volume.

all in all, im satisfied with the first episode, but i hope i start feeling these actors.

Yeah, I'm big on the comic series. You a comic guy Pauly?

I didn't mind the cast. I suspect they'll draw out the character's degeneration in the TV series to be dramatic, vs. the comic where everyone was scared witless and shellshocked by the time Rick caught up with them (I suspect we'll see Carl get messed up gradually over the season). I think the comics do a great job of building the characters and giving them personality. I think the actors have to live up to what's on the page, and that's not as easy as might be expected from translating a comic.

Yeah, I expect them to deviate from the comic's storyline for the sake of characters, but I'll be stoked if they stay true to the book.

Watching Mission Hill over again. What a fantastic show, such a shame it was canceled. They had like 7 seasons planned out

I wish I watched Machete with Keith... will soon!

watched blade runner for the first time last night. I expected it to be way different, which is good. It was one of those movies with so much hype I had no idea how it would be. Hell of a movie. I also watched Hori Smoku, Sailor Jerry in which I learned about Jerry Collins' extremist right-wing political views. It was interesting...

Agreed that Borat to Death is great. I'm in love with Ted Danson's character.

A show about Borat being an amateur detective in NYC would be pretty funny too. :)
