Re: Montreal contacts
He's in Toronto, but google A Mountain Far and get in touch with Matt. He's dialed in to the Toronto/Ottawa/Montreal scenes and is a nice dude so he should be able to help you out. Tell him Andrew from Damages says hi.

Re: Montreal contacts
For montreal check out mtlpunkshows@groups.facebook.com
For Ontario check this out: http://www.519punx.com/
If you're looking for show contacts talk to Rebel Time Records. The label is run by Randy who also runs Insurgence Records and Phil from Broadcast Zero. In my oppinion home some of the best bands and the nicest people in Ontario.
For montreal check out a band called Subsistance. They're incorporate so many things I like about 80s hardcore, so much fun live and they're rad dudes as well.

Re: Montreal contacts
www.sizeemup.com was the best site for mtl show info, etc, but it seems to be no longer active. i think there's still an active QCHC board somewhere.
http://www.theb9.com/topic/montreal-har ... heB9-board this is probably a good thread to watch. you'd probably want to get in touch with tremblay/lifers crew as they seem to be booking most of the hardcore shows there lately.
as for ontario, the 519 board is pretty specific to the london/519 area, which isn't exactly a stronghold for punk or hardcore these days.
www.ontariohardcore.freeforums.com is good for all over the province.
www.punkottawa.com
www.stuckinthecity.ca for toronto

Re: Montreal contacts
Actually the 519 board covers Kitchener/Waterloo and Hamilton as well. Other than End Program(who are actually from Toronto but play shows with the Rebel Time guys alot). I don't know what they have down there for hardcore. Kitchener/Waterloo have a killer punk scene or atleast from the amount of amazing bands, people and cool venues this is my assumption. Hamilton has a punk matinee's pretty much along the same line as the ones Chad does at Red Gate. I haven't been there yet but my friends in Rebel Spell and Cambridge have told me lots of stories. Mind you we all have alot of good friends there and some of the bands might not be everyone here's taste. As I said as far as eastern bands I think some of you guys would probably like Subsistance from Montreal. From Ontario End Program from Toronto, Broadcast Zero and The Rotten from Kitchener.
