your first show ever & the best/worst shows of 2009

I'm just gonna list my first show, since I have poor memory and honestly can't remember almost any shows from this year.
First show was a battle of the bands at the Brentwood Community center featuring Mitochondrion, Abuse of Power (lolz @ mid 30 dudes in a youth botb), and some other bands from my high school I can't remember. Met John at this show, and then it all went from there.

Worst was probably this Fall In Archaea show at the Bayanihan I went to because I had nothing else to do that night.

Oh god, that show was soooooo horrible. That night really was just, yeah.

that wasn't my first show, but my mom drove me and my friends down to victoria from up island (3 hours), waited in the car, and then drove back that night after the show. punkasfuck mom.

my first big show was foxfest in 2002 at GM place to see my favourite band at the time...goldfinger. the people in front of me smoked pot and i was DISGUSTED. because i was straightedge.

this year:
red elvises, wasted dancing to crazy russian music.
bison and crown the wolf
anchor and run with the hunted. at ambrosia which made it all the better.
kid crash and loma prieta definitely, still listening to them a lot.
murder city devils.
weakerthans and constantines
chad vangaalen and women.
gravelife's last show
okay i liked most of the shows i went to.

except:
goddamn tired old men The Queers
some shitty reggae/country lame bands that played at the media club on halloween. honestly the worst.

they were all wasted on whatever drugs they prefer right now and it seemed like they didnt know what they were doing. maybe im wrong? not for me i suppose.

Balacade is really hit and miss depending on what kind of mood andy is in. I've seen really, really good balacade shows, and some of the worst sets ive ever seen, were balacade sets.

I never saw Fuji, but considering I dont like most (not all) of those dudes, im glad i never did.

Locals only 07 w/ In Stride, a crows glory, revenge and ones Im forgetting but chairs were flying like it was a shihk temple
Halloween 08 at the cobalt with the Misfits, black flag, and the ramones. Showing fools you dont have to look like a clown to be punk rock.

First show: Some black DJ named VRRRSNN or some shit spinning mad rekkids at the Second Story coffee house. Pretty sweet, honestly. The guy stepped out mid set to smoke crack.
Best: Any show Shibolleth played.
Worst: HxC fest overall was a shit show. Someone back me up here.
