I jumpstarted a nearly non-existent all-ages hardcore scene in Victoria in 2003 (the second show I ever put on was Modern Life Is War) and put on about 2/3 of hardcore shows between 2003 and 2006, then I moved away in 2008. Now I go to shows about once every two months and all I care about is going to Jays games and working on films. I get injured and attacked a lot less this way. I got to see Amebix and Cro-Mags since I moved.
