montreal or halifax. i just moved to halifax last night after spending two rad weeks in montreal.
if you dont speak french you can still get a job in a grocery store, kitchen, call centre, or just somewhere in westmount which is the english speaking district of montreal. rent is fucking retarded cheap there, my friend emma is living in the coolest place in the plateau that has like pillars an shit in it for two hundy and its not uncommon to find deals like that at all. foods cheap, liqours cheap, smokes are cheap, biking is huge and bands obviously slay.
halifax seems a lot like victoria, i dont know it nearly as well as montreal yet but from what i gather hali and vic have tons of similarities, halifax seems a little bit smaller, but younger and more vibrant. my friend robert told me it was like victoria but a bit poorer, so house shows and d.i.y. shit are way more common.

Re: Where should I move.
I don't think I could live anywhere besides Victoria/Vancouver/Kelowna because of the fucking weather. -30 in the winter? FUCK THAT
i've heard good things about montreal
toronto was rad when I visited there (only there for one night though)

Re: Where should I move.
the cheapest beers in t.o. i've ever seen was a $5-8 pitcher of sketchy brew at a chinese/korean place my friends frequent. where can you get them for 2.99? that seems pretty far fetched.grind/bro wrote:move with me to Toronto, then you can hang out with Motor as well while i buy $2.99 pitchers of beer and scream at girls
but yeah, if anybody's moving there and wants to hang out, let me know. i'll be living there as of next week, and have all of september as a vacation.

jacky's at main/gerrard is my favourite bar. kinda cracked out but it's got character, and $3 beers. the same people sing karaoke every week, same songs. this old korean man sings beach boys song so well.
you should check it out. it's two doors over from the vagabonds m.c.

somebody mentioned cheaper rent in t.o. than vic? really? rent is damn expensive there, i'm assuming with that said, victoria's rent is ridiculously expensive? what do you dudes pay a month?

Well, I'm gonna move eventually but right now Vic is pretty much exactly where it's at. Love this city.

You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.
