Re: Water, fire, air and dirt...
I agree they are successful marketers. Unfortunately they had major label support through their most well known albums. They would probably be less successful if they hadn't signed to a subsidiary of Walt Disney, then on to Island records. They didn't do anything really new per se, it's the same schtick that Marilyn Manson pulled along with Kiss, Alice Cooper, etc. Crazy costumes, offensive stage shows/lyrics. I am so surprised they did what they did so well, considering how utterly embarrassing they are, now that is a fucking miracle up in this bitch

They've sold 6.5 million records. When was the last time a punk band did that without major label support? You don't have to like what ICP does, but there is no denying it's impressive and incredibly well organized.
Er, I mean
STOOPID WHITE TRASH JUGGALOS ARE STOOPID
I will totally agree that the fanbase/support/culture that ICP built out of nothing is impressive as fuck. They literally went from nothing to everything in no time flat. That is pretty cool. As well, I have no problem with them existing. They can do what they want. However, when someone says something as patently fucking ridiculous as ICP does on a regular fucking basis, I will laugh my ass off and mock them as much as humanly possible. This has nothing to do with me wanting ICP to stop existing, or begrudging their existence. This is about me, an my love of mocking morons.

Then you'll go from being lonely to wishing that everybody would just fuck off because their a bunch of fucking buzzkills going on about how 'you've got a problem" and they "just want to be their to help you". You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

It's fine to laugh at them. They're over the top ridiculous. If I woke up tomorrow and they didn't exist any more I'd breath a huge sigh of relief. But they do exist and even though they aren't doing anything ground breaking they're doing it better than we are and we can't afford to overlook what can be learned by them just so we have something to make fun of.
